Portraiture
Portraiture is probably my most loved genre.
To capture the very essence of someone and for the portrait to become the iconic example of that stage in someone's life, is such a meaningful picture.
The sitting can last between 30 to 45 minutes. I use a range of lighting and hand painted backdrops along with a variety of seating and even rugs to create the scene. The image itself is captured on the state of the art Medium Format Mirrorless Camera, the Fujifilm gfx 100sii. A 100 megapixel camera with vintage manual focus lenses to create that depth and feel that is timeless, producing almost painterly effect portraits.
