Wedding Photography at Old Walls, Gower
18th June 2014 - 0 comments
I had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer for a super couple, Bethan & Scott at The Old Walls, Gower earlier this year.

I had never photographed there before so as always I carried out a recky of the venue and studied numerous wedding photographs to get a better feel for the place and its great photographic opportunities.

Here are just a few of the 1000 plus images that Bethan & Scott received in their USB Presentation Case in readiness for them to select 80-90 images to adorn their stunning Bellisimo Perfetto Album.

Typical Pre Wedding Shoot
12th June 2014 - 1 comment
I offer all my Bride & Grooms an opportunity to take a 30 minute walk and shoot for us to get to know each other better and a chance to practice in front of the camera. Not everyone takes it up due to busy schedules or just happy with the arrangement as it stands. However it suits some people particularly those that aren't as confident in front of the camera. This shoot gives us a chance to work together and to help you relax.

What is the difference between a Pre Shoot and an Engagement Shoot?

Pre Shoot
Free
30-45 minutes
No Images
£100 if you would like a disc of edited images after to use as you wish

Engagement Shoot
£175
1-2 hours
Disc or Dropbox transfer of the Shoot Images
20 Page Signing Book or A3 Framed print with 3" border for Guests to Sign

There is virtually no difference in the styling of the shoot between a Pre & Engagement, it comes purely down to the end products.

The images below are from a Pre Shoot which did over run to 1 hr but I wanted you to see the kind of shoot we did.

New Year additions and upgrades!
16th January 2014 - 0 comments
Well 2014 has begun as last year finished a flurry of wedding enquiries for 2014, 2015 and even one for 2017!

I am very excited for 2014, new ideas, new goals and new equipment!

I have spent these passed few month studying and reviewing international world class photographers against some of my own work. I still believe there is room for improvement and have not reached my true potential in photography. But Im excited for year ahead.

I cannot accomplish some of my ideas and targets without first purchasing new equipment and upgrades. I already have a vast armoury of great lenses and cameras but like so many true professionals in photography I am constantly upgrading and reinvesting to keep abreast of the high standard of photography that I wish to be renowned for.

My main camera body is the amazing 5D MarkIII and back up has been 5D MarkII but I have to confess to not using the MarkII and preferring to change lenses on the MarkIII as the images are just soo much better. So first upgrade has been to change the back up camera in time for my next wedding so that I can 'shoot' with two cameras and appear like some snipper ready to lock and load. (Update) Brand new Canon 5D MarkIII on its way!

Following on from this is to upgrade the macro lens from the ultrasonic 100mm to the 100mm USM. The ultra is still producing amazing detailed shots but its just one area where id like to push the boundaries a little more. I may even be swayed to opt for the 180mm macro.

Our new tablet has already proven a great addition during wedding meetings to showcase latest wedding pictures, plus to tether wirelessly to the camera to show clients images as they happen.

So watch this space as 2014 is looking very promising and I'm excited to share our work with you.

Wedding Photography at New House Hotel, Cardiff
04th June 2013 - 0 comments
I recently had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer at the New House Hotel, Cardiff for Francesca & Lloyd Badran.

The morning flew by when you have six glamourous bridesmaids, two beautiful flower girls,
not to mention two gorgeous mothers and one stunning bride to photograph.

We began the day at Fran's fathers stunning home.
I also managed to catch up with the boys at the venue before the wedding got underway.

The ceremony conducted by the lovely registrars that I had the pleasure of working with at De Courceys recently.

Then it was outside to relax and enjoy the afternoon sun and pimms.

We managed to capture plenty of group shots at a steady pace before the wedding breakfast.

Just before the guests arrived at the wedding breakfast marque we managed a few quite intimate moment for the gorgeous bride & her handsome groom

This was our queue to begin editing the work so far and prepare an iMac slideshow for Bride & Groom and all their guests to view later. When you see reactions like this. it makes it all worth while.

We decided to delay the Bride & Groom shots till after the breakfast when the Bride could freshen up as there was plenty of sun and great weather conditions for a late afternoon shoot on the grounds of the hotel.

Caught in the act!

We began in their bridal suite and corridors of the New House Hotel before venturing out to the lovely fountain in front of the hotel.

The evening for us concluded with the First Dance and some great images of parents dancing the night away.
